His Excellency Fahad Al Gergawi joined the Orous Capital Advisory Board in 2023. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI), one of the agencies of the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) of the Government of Dubai. For more than a decade as CEO of Dubai FDI, H.E. Fahad has driven the Emirate’s agenda to attract foreign investment into the country, making Dubai one of the world's leading destinations for foreign direct investment.

In addition, he serves as the Secretary General of Hamdan Centre for the Future of Investment (HCFI), an initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, where he leads a global program to promote “Impact FDI” as a key to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

H.E. Fahad is also the Chairman of “Dubai Investment Week”, a global platform to discover growth opportunities, build partnerships and foster innovation. He is member of the Dubai International Communication Committee, an initiative from the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) to promote effective and positive engagement with international media to raise the profile of Dubai’s major achievements and initiatives.

Previously, he served as the President of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) from 2019 to 2021. From 2004 to 2008, he was the Director in the International Business Development department at Dubai Properties, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding. From 1995 to 2004, he was Director in the Trade and Industry Development department at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

H.E. Fahad graduated from the United Arab Emirates University. Also, he is a first batch graduate from the elite Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugural program for Young Business Leaders, a member of Young Arab Leaders Foundation UAE Chapter, and a member of the World Economic Forum Experts Network.
